Consumer Checkbook is an independent, non-profit consumer authority that rates local service firms that you use in your everyday life. These ratings are published in a quarterly publication "Consumer Checkbook", which is sold in local newsstands and book stores.

There is a ballot in the publication which allows you to rate your local businesses.
